CLASS OF 2000 BURSARY TOTAL AS AT MAY 31, 2020

CLASS REPS: Robin Smulders Richmond and Kelly Thompson Polci The Class of 2000 is counting down to our 20th Reunion in May 2021! Priya Mosur shares that after a lifetime of wanting a dog, she adopted one named Truffles. She enjoys her volunteer work with young adults exiting foster care and with a dog rescue. Alexandra (Alex) Carr Welch became a partner practising family law at Lenkinski, Carr & Richard LLP. Giselle Revah and her husband both work as radiologists at the Ottawa Hospital. She plays violin and performs as part of a group called Concert Docs. Sarah Bovaird made a career shift this year and joined TD Bank, where she supports retail transformation. Sara Markovic opened a dental specialty practice, River Street Endodontics, in Corktown. Lyndsay Hayhurst had her fourth child, a baby girl. Lyndsay will be returning to York University in September. She hopes to remember how to be a professor after being on maternity leave on and off for the last six years. Leah Burke Sweed had a blast celebrating her nuptials in Victoria, B.C., surrounded by a conglomerate of HC pals. Caleigh Pacini Meehan and Kelly Thompson Polci got away for four days of kid-free fun in “Music City” (Nashville). Lynda Morgan recently moved her criminal defence/regulatory law practice to Addario Law Group in Toronto. Sophie Kohn works as a writer for CBC and

named to Best Lawyers Canada 2020 in trusts and estates! Caleigh Warrack Murtaugh is moving to Sayulita, Mexico for a year to work on her master’s of education. Adrienne (Midge) Begg MacCharles recently joined the board of the Financial District BIA. Alessandra Palombo Sollazzo has four kids, so no hobbies or other news to speak of! Nadira Rambihar is enjoying life as a part-time sports doc/full-time Mom to three little ones aged five and under. Alison Minard shares that nothing exciting has happened to her this past year: no new job, no more kids, no kids planned, no marriage or divorce, and no fun trips planned. HA! Chloe Brown Schumacher welcomed baby Hunter to the family and is presently on maternity leave from teaching at John Ross Robertson. Along with partners, Nicole (Nikki) Mabro Gouzopoulos and her husband Stephen opened an art gallery, Cry Baby Gallery, in Dundas West, which is actually a speakeasy bar in the back.

Lisa McKeown has completed her PhD in philosophy at The New School, and while she prays for the miracle of an academic job, she’s working on the much more viable career path of stand-up comedy.
