CLASS REPS: Signe McDonald Scammell, Allison McMillin Jelley, and Sarah Tennant Sarah Tennant presented Janie Wong with the 2019 Dr. Susan Ditchburn Young Alumna Award in November. Janie works as a lawyer and was delighted to see Jessica Olivier Hersey 1998 and Cat Scully Neilson 1998 in Hong Kong, before the protests and COVID-19 outbreak. Tze Wei Ng co-chairs the board of Resolve, an organization empowering future community leaders for a more inclusive Hong Kong. She returned to law practice, specializing in charity law and social finance. Angel Cheung has enjoyed working from home amidst the craziness that is the COVID-19 outbreak in Singapore. Meghann Grandy Wooster recently signed a book deal with Harlequin under the name Meghann Whistler. Her first novel is a sweet Christian romance titled Falling for the Innkeeper . Clare Tacon has been busy with her book In Search of the Perfect Singing Flamingo ; it is available as an audiobook. Signe McDonald Scammell awaits another move; in the meantime, Jack will start in the science program at a middle school in Calgary. Signe works part-time as a teacher assistant at Copperfield Elementary, enjoys trips to Canmore/Banff/Kananaskis/Lake Louise, and looks forward to summers in Toronto and Change Islands, Newfoundland, where she visits family. In Toronto, Allison McMillin Jelley parents four kids, runs The Grande Classique, a race from the Eiffel Tower to Versailles, and spends summers in P.E.I. Jennifer Watson Dufresne bikes to her new job at the Sunnybrook Foundation at Sunnybrook Hospital. Her twins are in JK. Victoria (Tory) Bovaird ’s son Hudson (2) is learning to ski while her daughter Adelaide (Grade 2) loves to dance. Victoria is on the board of Daytrippers Children’s Charity and still works at Deloitte. Vanessa Oliver ’s commercial real estate brokerage, Regent Street, is nine years old and just grew to six team members, all amazing women. Her children attend the Lycée Français de Toronto, and she spends weekends on the ski hill with Old Girls Vanessa Ast Biller , Victoria Bovaird, Jen Boville and Kendra Thompson 1996. Julia Boma-Fischer Card works as a speech language pathologist at West Park Healthcare Centre in Toronto, recently moved to a 100-year-old house and is contemplating what needs fixing first. Varesh lives in Toronto with her husband Tom and is doing a little globetrotting this year. Rebecca Doiron had a great trip to Disney World in 2019 and returned to her work at the Ontario Ministry of Finance in the pension policy group. Her two children Annelies and Theo are thriving. Lindsay Greisman Mintz is now the sole owner of Prestonvale Dental, and her son Trevor was accepted to UCC for Grade 7. Amber Richardson started as executive VP, project delivery for Critical Mass. She recently moved within East York with her husband and two girls and raises awareness and funds for late-term pregnancy and infant loss through the Oliver Harper Foundation. Leigh Dickson moved to Montreal five years ago with her three kids and works at McGill in education research for the Faculty of Medicine. Bianca Knop lives in Vancouver and celebrated the fifth year of business for her company, Wildfire Experiential and Events. She sits on the board of KidSport Vancouver and mentors with the UBC HKIN department. Cecelia Kitakufé practises family medicine in Michigan, volunteers for medical mission trips (the last one was in Thailand), teaches Bible study classes and mentors ladies through her church. Christina Beharry has settled in Washington, D.C., with her husband, daughter Beatrice (7) and son Hugo (3). She practises international law and this year received a victory for Mauritius in relation to protecting the Le Morne world heritage site from residential development. Catherine Molnar Livingstone builds on her work as a creative engagement consultant for people with dementia. She received a government grant for a social enterprise start-up, The Opal Season Company. She is currently field-testing a prototype with more than 120 recreation therapists in eight countries and works with Indigenous elders in the N.W.T. Vanessa Ast Biller is Mom to two spirited daughters, ages 6 and 8, tinkers with passion projects @Vastfit, and chairs parent council initiatives on school committees.
