CLASS OF 1989 ENDOWMENT TOTAL AS AT MAY 31, 2019

CLASS REP: Tiffany Park Mason Many of you have written that you don’t have much news… and that is good, as it means that most of us are doing well in our home, work and personal lives! There has also been a positive response to our big reunion in the fall – stay tuned for details on our Facebook page! Nicole Nolan Sidhu moved to Rochester, N.Y., where she is working in feminist medieval scholarship and on her novel. Tanya White is an advisor/investor in the Pipeline Angels, helping seed female-led start-ups. To celebrate her tenth year in Austin, she learned country- western dancing and was selected to dance in a country music video. She will add the link to our Facebook page, right Tanya?! Anne Noble, Sarah Bull and Tiffany Park Mason are all mothers to Havergalians, with daughters ranging from Grades 7 to 11. Jo-Anne Matear continues to travel and take classes at the National Ballet School. Catharine Heddle is freelancing in communications, and she and her husband Terry recently bought a farm near Belleville with friends. She had dinner with Jennifer (Jen) Shone Tribley earlier this year when Jen was visiting from the U.K. Sarah Cooper is going to Greece this summer to visit Nereida Flannery . Barb Hayhurst said goodbye to commuting and joined Collingwood-based Kidzpace, where she works in business development – more time to spend with her husband and son! Nicole Petrov Easterbrook is in Elora working at U of Guelph; both kids are at universities nearby. She will be cancer-free for seven years as of this summer, although she has developed a new health issue that she is also hoping to overcome in the next few years. Stay strong, Nicole; you are an inspiration! Suzette Strong is focused on being grateful for what she has and making memories with loved ones, including university visits with her

daughter. Elizabeth Wilson Edge has joined the parent council at her kids’ school and laments that they have a better social life than she does – I think many will agree!! Julie McAlpine Jeffries ’s eldest twin daughters are in first-year university! One of her other girls is at school with Andrea Heinmaa Herrmann 1990’s daughter. She and a few other 1990 classmates still see one another regularly. Ruth Sternberg launched Lafia Jewellery (www.lafiajewellery.com), a fine jewelry brand highlighted in Hello Canada and Today’s Bride . Catherine Paterson Gunn has done some European travel through her work at Dalhousie. She tries to get to Kingston with her family every summer to visit her mom. Tanya JaegerdeForas is thegeneral counsel for Europe, the Middle East and Africa for Whirlpool Corporation, based in Italy. Beatrice (Trixie) Bobrovniczky Wadson was elated to drive from Rhode Island to laugh and dance with many HC friends (including Tiffany Park Mason, Sarah Bull, Jo-Anne Matear ) at the 25th Queen’s reunion. She is a newly certified Ayurvedic lifestyle consultant and is now the chief operating officer at Bowen’s Wharf Company in Newport. Marnie Goldenberg lives in Vancouver with her wife and their two kids. After working as a sex educator and not-for-profit consultant, Marnie now leads a team serving homeless youth. In 2019 she will travel with her mom to celebrate their 75th and 50th birthdays. Also in Vancouver, Kim Downey continues to be a busy mom to two, works part-time and is plugging away at a few writing projects. I think Sue Redman might have the biggest news. Not only did she recently graduate from college, but she started a BA in justice studies and public safety, AND she had her first child in March!! Congrats, Sue!
