CLASS REPS: Jane Cardarelli Devine and Sarah Sedgwick Parry It is hard to believe that it was 40 years ago that we were young ladies graduating and singing that song! This year, we thought that it would be nice to hear from you about your passions. From Facebook, we can see that Barb Callander is an amazing wildlife photographer, and Beth Crosbie Alexander is a wonderful painter. Carolyne Kerr still loves riding and continues to show jump! Dale O’Flynn and her husband enjoy live music – especially house concerts – and movies with the film society in Kelowna B.C. They are involved with Amnesty International. Katie Aird Porter still loves to pot! She was a guest artist in September at the Uxbridge Celebration of the Arts. Kathryn Rusz Ortner likes keeping up with her tennis playing and trying – usually succeeding – to beat her husband Richard on the court. She loves to plan their trips, although she wishes she had more time for those trips right now. Jane Southey writes that she is pursuing photography and that she has gone back to the sewing machine, reinventing some ill-fitting and uninspiring clothing! She has been working on a graphic novel for a friend and has done some DIY projects on her cottage in S.C. Last Labour

Day weekend, she helped to replace their deck and recently stained it. She has also been working on some art pieces that incorporate some of the 600-odd sand dollars and other beach items found on their S.C. beach. Jane Wansbrough Philp keeps busy these days painting, playing tennis and travelling to watch her two sons on the ski tour. Her paintings are contemporary in nature, and she paints in acrylics and uses various other mixed media. Kate Weldon Baldwin ’s passions are her family and her old dog. They just bought my family farm, and she is very excited about this project! Janet McKinlay has taken up watercolour painting and loves it. She is also a gardener, and her other passion is attending classical music concerts. Jane Cardarelli Devine and Sarah Sedgwick Parry are enjoying their Maltipoo dogs. I (Sarah) am finally getting a dollhouse for the miniatures that I have been collecting for over 50 years! I think that we can all agree with what Jane Southey wrote: “What’s really odd is that although I see my aging visage in the mirror every day, I still think about all of you as you were in Grade 13. Strange, but true.” We hope to see as many of you as possible for our 40th Reunion on the weekend of September 28. If you know of anybody who is out of touch, please let them know! And please join our Facebook page. Post pictures of your passions and check for news on our upcoming reunion.
