CLASS OF 1963 ~ 55th Reunion

CLASS OF 1963 ENDOWMENT TOTAL AS AT MAY 31, 2019

Members of the Class of 1963 celebrating their Reunion.

CLASS REPS: Caroline Pack-Beresford Clarke and Luba Frastacky Ever since I became Class Rep, there have been two constants in my reports: Pat Blachford spent the winter waiting for golf season, and Caroline Pack-Beresford Clarke was coming over for our Class Reunion. So prepare for a change: of course, Peebs came over for our 55th, visited Penelope (Penny) Hillary Heath-Eves in Dunrobin and then spent time in Muskoka with Joey Bell Brown 1964 before the reception in Brenda Robson Hall and dinner at the Cricket Club. And Pat has found a new hobby! No, Pat has not given up golf – she won the Windermere club championship again last summer – but she has discovered woodworking and has enlarged her workshop to take in all her new acquisitions from Lee Valley Tools. In her spare time, she is reading up on the Arctic in preparation for her west-to-east Adventure Canada trip in September. Gail Taylor Hamilton is also in major preparation mode; her son will be married at the cottage in the summer of 2019.

Whilemost of us are retired, Bev ClappisonMaggiacomo is still hanging in at Tanner Hill – although full retirement is beginning to be more tempting. Ann Austin is enjoying her ability to ski, curl, golf and do yoga, and life in Calgary in general. Jackie Cogan Smith continues to volunteer in Vancouver but took time off last February to cycle the Everglades and Sanibel Island. In March, Ginny Gooch MacEachern and her husband Norm travelled to Georgia to spend time with his sister and her husband. After that, they went to Marco Island, where they were joined by their daughter Alex and her family. On the other coast, Marilynne Carr Nowell tried to recuperate from her knee operations (May and December 2018) by spending time at their place in Palm Springs, only to experience major flooding and washed-out roads. Nancy Robinson , tired of plowing and shovelling, travelled to Australia and Cathy Fauquier finally made it to Bhutan. Back in Ontario, Carroll Wistow Willer continues to sort out her house and takes time to travel to Toronto to spend
