CLASS OF 2000 BURSARY TOTAL AS AT MAY 31, 2019

CLASS REPS: Kelly Thompson Polci and Robin Smulders Kelly Thompson Polci enjoys running a T-ball league in Leaside for her two eldest children and volunteering at their school as a kindergarten pizza lunch coordinator. Robin Smulders had a baby girl named Margot but quickly jumped back into her role as a real estate agent. Alessandra Palombo Sollazzo is a busy family physician and has four kids, so she hasn’t slept since 2010! Timmie Leung enjoyed a honeymoon in Japan and is now a partner at Gilbert Kirby Stringer LLP. Caleigh Pacini Meehan coordinated a team of colleagues at CPP Investment Board that raised $30,000 for Princess Margaret Cancer Centre. Sharon Franks Matthews is enjoying maternity leave and is about to do a large house renovation. Sara Markovic is opening an endodontics practice in Corktown. Leah Burke is engaged and plans to marry in Victoria. Alison Minard returned to McCarthy Tétrault to join the estates and trusts practice as a partner. Sarah Bovaird recently became a hockey mom and is enjoying time at the rink with her sons. Jessica Langer is a professor in PR at Centennial College; she is leveraging a new program that provides students with opportunities to study, work and research abroad. After helping to get Mayor John Tory re-elected in 2018, Courtney Glen joined his office as deputy chief of staff in December when he started his new term. As an assistant professor, Lyndsay Hayhurst is engaged in research into gender- based violence prevention strategies for girls through sports and physical activity programs. Petra Rozopol Prior lives in Vienna and works for the Organization for Security and Co-operation in Europe. Jody Lownds is busy with her law practice in Revelstoke. Zeena Zaiyouna is a band teacher at Kingsway College and will debut conducting for CISMF in the spring. Lisa McKeown is finally, for real, really

actually finishing her dissertation at the New School for Social Research. Steph Johnson Bellana bought a van down by the river that is not as fancy as Chloe’s, but she is working to fix it up. Lauren (Laurie) Nicholson Bruk has gone green with a new electric vehicle. Anjali Pala recently started a new job as a senior designer and production manager at Prestel Publishing in Manhattan, where she collaborates with museums, curators and artists to design books about art and visual culture. Pia Hundal Stokes spends as much time as possible at Blue Jays games with her husband Ben. In January 2019, Alex Carr Welch became a partner at Lenkinski Law, where she practises all areas of family law. Jennifer Bovaird is working at Ever New Melbourne as their lead marketing strategist and also works for Spyderworks as a consultant on special projects.
