CLASS REPS: Allison Jelley, Signe McDonald Scammell and Sarah Tennant
in Toronto. Rebecca Doiron is looking forward to returning to work with the Ministry of Finance after the birth of her son Theodoor. Both of her children have the same birthday and will be celebrating their sixth and first birthdays at Disney World in 2019! Clara Chan continues to enjoy her work as an ophthalmologist in Toronto and has taken on administrative duties as the medical director of the Eye Bank, where ocular tissue is processed and distributed for corneal transplants. In her spare time, she tries to keep up with her four-year-old son, who likes to goes to bed later than her. Julia Boma-Fischer is an inpatient speech-language pathologist, busy helping people with strokes and brain injuries recover. Her son is three, and in her spare time, she tows him on a rope around a skating rink in winter or joins him with her best impression of a sea otter in the local pool in summer. Lindsay Griesman Mintz continues to grow her dental practice and follows her two boys around to various baseball practices, tennis matches and basketball games! She looks forward to some travelling and cottaging this summer. Stephanie Fraiberg became a great- aunt again and continues to love her fur babies. Amber Richardson welcomed her third daughter, Charlotte, in April 2018 and has enjoyed her mat leave time with her family. She is returning to her role as SVP, operations at DDB Canada while continuing to run her non-profit charity and launching her children’s and pre-teen apparel line.
The Class of 1997 is enjoying life near and far. Angel Cheung lives in tropical Singapore, and her kids are now both at the same school. They enjoy skating indoors at a mall in Jakarta. Julie McConville is in London with her family. In her spare time, she explores London and is back to playing tennis. Olesya Mosiyuk Conde got married in December 2018 in the Bahamas. She has advanced her real estate career by selling residential properties and flipping houses and has been travelling to France, Sweden, Ukraine, Germany, Mexico, Cuba and the Bahamas with the hope of travelling more in 2019. Clara Boyd is working as a stroke neurologist in New York City. Phyllis Wong loves living in San Luis Obispo on the central coast of California, close to beaches and mountains. She works part-time as a mortgage advisor and is still very involved in her kids’ schooling and extracurricular activities. Janie Wong lives in Hong Kong and has planned a trip to see the northern lights in Yellowknife, visiting Catherine Molnar Livingstone . Signe McDonald Scammell accepted a supervisor/ teacher assistant position within the Calgary Board of Education. Outside of work and kids, she is furiously reading a book for a book club, doing high fitness or taking puppy Beatrice walking in Canmore or Kananaskis! Sarah Tennant is enjoying the ocean air in Nova Scotia and has a three-week trip to Australia planned with her family. A new interest is trying to create simulation programs in local community hospitals. Jennifer Watson Dufresne ’s three-year-old twins are a pair of bookish daredevils who can often be heard, through the baby monitor, recreating their favourite scenes from books and movies when they should be napping. She works for the World Wildlife Fund
