CLASS OF 1998 ATHLETICS ENDOWMENT TOTAL AS AT MAY 31, 2018

CLASS REP: Amanda Karahanas The grads of 1998 have been a bit of a quiet bunch this year…the calm before the big 20th Reunion! Danielle (Asha) Gormandy Lee continues to live in Glen Ridge, N.J. with her husband and three children. Monique Smart is living in Oakville with her husband Andrew and toddler John 2 and is an environmental consultant at MTE Engineering Inc. in Burlington. Marnie MacDougall is living in Toronto with her husband. She travels the world as the director of international student recruitment at Seneca College and is currently completing an executive MBA with Western’s Ivey Business School. Carrie Lynde enjoys practising dermatology and loves to travel, ski and enjoy the summer at the cottage in northwestern Ontario with her family. Kathe Rogers is a registered social worker, communications specialist and advocate. In addition to her part-time private counselling practice, Kathe is the knowledge exchange manager at Youth Research and Evaluation eXchange (based in the School of Social Work at York University), and continues to work with The Teresa Group (an organization supporting children, youth and families living with and affected by HIV) and to support anti-poverty campaigns and initiatives. After celebrating the 10th year of her online publication Shedoesthecity.com, Jen McNeely is looking forward to making more time to explore forests and coastlines with her 4-year-old son Elliot and her partner Jamie Drummond. Sherryn Rambihar and her husband Conor are constantly running after their two little boys Reid 4 and Rory 2. Sherryn is a cardiologist and balances time between clinical practice, cardiac rehabilitation at the UHN-TRI and doing research and teaching as an adjunct assistant professor at U of T. She is very excited to be

finishing a master’s of science in health professions education in Chicago this spring. Annatasha Bartel is a veterinary anesthesiologist at a private animal hospital in Toronto, after having moved home from California. She keeps busy with lots of travel, renovating her house and she recently took up boxing. Rebecca Doiron works for the Ministry of Finance as a pension policy advisor and is expecting her second child with her husband Christopher. Jessica Olivier Hersey is working with Cat Scully Neilson ’s husband Daniel to expand his U.K. craft beer magazine, Original Gravity into Ontario. Amanda Karahanas is a change management consultant and also president of the Disabled Sailing Association of Ontario. Melissa Ghislanzoni and her husband continue to live off of Trinity Bellwoods Park, where they’re having fun with their 3-year-old daughter Norah and their two dogs. Melissa is a securities lawyer in the wealth management space and enjoys her four-day work week, which really lets her stop to smell the roses, sip lattes, read great books and take Norah for mommy-daughter outings on Fridays. Melissa is gearing up for her next half-marathon and spends Saturday mornings with the Parkdale Road Runners enjoying the city.
